Cando Aviary is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The sunny days and fresh sea breezes are the perfect combination for  breeding healthy birds. The warm climate allows for organic grasses and greens to be grown year round for the birds to feast on and in winter the dried grasses delight the nest builders.

No wonder birds fly South!

At Cando Aviary you will find Finches and Grasskeets, including the Scarlet Chested Parakeet, the Lady Gouldian Finch, the Red Throated Parrot Finch, the Zebra Finch, the Goldbreast Waxbills, and more. As a finch fancier, other species are sure to join the flock in the future.

I am currently specializing in the Lady Gouldian Finch and their colored mutaions. I currently have about 40 breeding pairs including red head, black heads, yellow heads, purple breast, lilac breast, white breast, green back, yellow back, blue back, silver back, and a few mutations I have stumbled upon. I have a Red Line and a Blue Head that I hope to breed and establish each of these mutations. Fascinating Finches!

I sell to loving homes, trade with other breeders, and give retired breeding birds to adoring owners.... the only charge is love. I also like to meet other feathered friends to share information, stories, and perhaps visit at the bird fairs and shows.
